Meet Ada, HR Partner's AI Assistant

HR software update announcements usually lead with the same promise: AI will change everything. We’re not going to make that claim.

Here’s what we will say. As part of our biggest update yet, Ada, your AI assistant, now does more than she used to. Not because AI should be running your HR function, but because some parts of the job are repetitive, and Ada’s happy to take them off your plate when you want the help.

And that’s the key word: want. Ada’s already there in the platform, no setup needed, but you get to decide if you want to use her. If AI’s not for you, or not for this part of your process, everything in HR Partner still works exactly the way it always has.

What can Ada do now?

Ada used to live mostly in recruitment. That’s changing.

Every HR Partner customer can now use Ada to:

Draft emails, anywhere in the platform. Not just candidate communication. Ada can help with the emails that come up across day-to-day HR work.

Write job descriptions. Give Ada a few details about the role, and she’ll draft something you can edit and post.

Build forms. Ada can help put together the forms your team needs, so you’re not starting from a blank page every time.

Candidate screening. This one’s not new. It’s staying the same and it’s still available on all VIP plans or as an add-on to other plans. Ada can screen and shortlist candidates, scoring applications so your team spends less time reading through everyone and more time talking to the people worth a conversation.

Ada’s there to help, not to replace. Hitting send, publishing a job, making a hire. Those are still yours to do.

It’s your choice if you want to use AI in HR Partner

We’re intentional about where we add AI and why. Ada exists because some tasks are repetitive enough that a first draft actually saves you time. That’s it. She’s not a headline feature, and she’s not on by default whether you want her or not.

Not every business wants AI in their HR processes, and not every process needs it. Some teams want Ada in on everything she can help with. Others want her nowhere near it. Most sit somewhere in between, happy to hand off the repetitive stuff while keeping the decisions that matter to someone’s job firmly in human hands.

HR Partner works for all of them. If AI’s not for you, Ada just sits there unused. She’s simply there when you want her. She’s not counting how often you use her, and she’s not going to nag you to use her more.

Where does this fit into the bigger update?

This is one part of a much bigger HR Partner update. We’ve also rebuilt the interface, improved the mobile experience, added a new custom form designer, and made bulk employee updates faster. Ada’s expanded role fits the same idea behind everything else in this release: more capability, without more complexity and without any pressure to use it a certain way.

Humans, not hype

There’s a lot of talk right now about AI taking over the human side of HR. That’s just not how we see it, and it’s not how we’ve built Ada.

HR is a people job. Decisions about hiring, communication, and how a workplace treats its people should stay with people. Ada’s there to handle the bits that don’t need a human’s judgment, so your team has more time for the bits that do.

The best way to see Ada is to log in and take a look around.

Not with us yet? There’s never been a better time to join. See what HR Partner can do with a 14-day free trial, or book a demo and we’ll show you around.

FAQ

Is Ada available to all HR Partner customers? Yes. Every customer can use Ada to draft emails, write job descriptions, and build forms.

Is Ada only for recruitment? No. Ada now works across the platform, including emails outside of recruitment. Screening and shortlisting candidates is the one capability that stays recruitment-specific, for VIP customers.

Does Ada make hiring decisions? No. Ada can score and shortlist candidates for customers using this service, but sending emails, publishing job posts, and the final hiring call all stay with your team.

Do I have to use Ada? No. Ada’s optional throughout HR Partner. Use as much or as little of her as you want, or skip her altogether. Nothing else changes if you do.

What plan do I need for candidate screening? Candidate screening and shortlisting is available on VIP plans or as an add-on for other plans. Drafting emails, writing job descriptions, and building forms with Ada are available on every HR Partner plan.

Does HR Partner have an MCP? Not right now. That’s deliberate, and it’s a considered approach. People trust us with sensitive data, salary details, performance reviews, grievances, and more, and we take that seriously. There’s a lot of hype around MCP right now, but also a lot of risk that’s not always assessed in full in the rush to build the latest thing, and legislation around AI and data is moving fast. Get it wrong and that risk falls on you as the customer, not just on us. This is about protecting you, your employees, and your candidates, and we’d rather take the time to do that properly than rush to keep up with the trend.
