HR Partner Admin Portal Launch - Fiona Adler

We’ve just released the biggest update to HR Partner since it first launched – including a new admin portal, a fully mobile-optimised experience, and new ways we’re using AI across the platform where it genuinely adds value.

I know updates like this naturally prompt questions about what’s changed in the product. But I’ve found myself thinking less about the features, and more about everything that led us here.

Because it never really starts with a roadmap or a list of ideas. It starts with someone trying to solve something in their day-to-day work.

Over the years, there have been many conversations. Support tickets from people working through a specific challenge. Demo calls where someone asks if there’s a simpler way. Survey responses that go into detail about what’s working and what isn’t. Feature requests that are really just people describing what they need in their own words.

And what’s always stayed with me is the context behind those messages. Even when something isn’t working well, there’s usually a clear sense of what someone is trying to achieve. That’s the part that tends to stick.

That’s what shapes HR Partner.

The updates we’ve just released are really the accumulation of those conversations over time. Not in a direct way, but in the gradual shaping of how we think about what matters most.

That way of working – listening closely and trying to respond thoughtfully – doesn’t just sit inside the product. It runs through how we’ve chosen to build the company.

We’ve never set out to be the biggest or fastest-growing HR software company. The focus has always been on building something steady and useful for the people who rely on it every day.

You see it in the way we support customers.

We’ve intentionally built our Customer Success team with people who come from HR and recruitment backgrounds. People who have actually done the work our customers are doing now. That changes the nature of the conversation. It’s less about process and more about understanding what someone is trying to achieve.

It also shows up in how we think about subscriptions.

We’ve always offered month-to-month plans because we know small and medium-sized businesses don’t move in straight lines. Things change. Priorities shift. Teams grow and sometimes contract. We’ve never wanted customers to feel locked in. We’d rather they stay because HR Partner continues to be useful and provide excellent value for them.

We’re a small team ourselves, and fairly simple in how we operate. But we’re lucky to work with customers all over the world who trust us with something important in their business, and we don’t take that lightly.

So when I think about this release – the new admin portal, the mobile improvements, and the ways we’re using AI where it genuinely helps – I don’t really see it as a “big update”. I see it as another step in the same direction we’ve always been heading: listening, understanding, and trying to make things a little easier where we can.

And I’m genuinely grateful for how much input we continue to get. The emails, the calls, the suggestions, the honest feedback – it all genuinely shapes what we build.

Please keep it coming.
